C-SASI’s Faith Statement

Affiliation and Theology: C-SASI’s board and certified members are made up of men and women from a variety of Christian denominations.

C-SASI, as an organization, firmly honors our Christian moorings which can be expressed in several ways, but our bottom line affirmation of faith is the Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed, all the while having a gentle but generally more evangelical ethos.

Some of the definitions of "sin" that we use in our training program are "anything that alienates us from God" and "failure in word, deed, or desire to rightly love God and neighbor" and "a failure to live up to the higher righteousness as described by the Gospel of Matthew" and "anything that offends God, God's creation, or is a moral transgression" and "anything contrary to the Christian narrative and story from the Bible."

Much of our training program draws upon the New Testament but in particular: Matthew, Mark, Luke (Acts), John, and the Letters of Paul.

We believe that sex addiction is best addressed by a treatment protocol based in a Christian worldview in order to achieve the substantive changes necessary for an enduring transformation of the whole person and his/her relationships, rather than just the aim of achieving sobriety. Our training program draws upon the latest research in psychology, addiction, neuroscience, and trauma alongside applying best practices in all treatment protocols. All of this is firmly grounded in the Christian worldview.
